As promised, I’m serving up a second slice of some of my favorite house from 2008 mingled in with some fresh new funky tunes of the moment.  I see our good friend David from Arizona is really digging it and even managed to make me jealous with his 70-degree temps.

Sometimes I long for the days I lived in the Rio Grande Valley, where we had three seasons a year (hot, hotter and hottest), but after one hour there, I’m ready to leave (no offense mom and dad).  That’s okay, the ripe warm days are on the way.

Besides, who says you can’t enjoy summer now?  Pick up some J.C., limes, triple sec, and Mexican beer (I love Indio but it’s not available in the states so Bohemia and lime will do), go down to the market, and get some fajitas, avocados, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and tortillas and you can have your own summer party right in the middle of winter.

Heck, you can even go down to the tanning salon and put some color on if you want to make it authentic.LOL.  We’ve got a few friends coming over tonight, so I think the first part will be a hit.  Think of it as a holdover until the actual season get’s here.

In the meantime, immerse yourself in some fresh uplifting house.it’ll put you in a good mood for the weekend.  I’ll be back next week with the BPM Edition v2.

Surprise, surprise!  Not only was I able to wrap everything up this week, but I also managed to bang out the first installment of the T-Dance series for 2009.  First and foremost, it’s important for me to pull back on the number of mixes I’m making per series.  By doing that, I actually get to sit back and enjoy my completed work, something that I’ve been doing all week.

Second, I’ve got enough to make the next BPM mix and I don’t want that folder to get overcrowded by holding off.  So, that will be on my agenda for next week, followed by the much delayed 2001 Classix Edition and possibly a new Diva mix (though I haven’t decided who will get top honors this go around), the next System Edition, and the Spring Edition by Easter.

This mix is comprised of about half favorites from last year and a half of spanking new tunes.  While I won’t say that I’ll never have some soulful tunes in these mixes, most of what I’m hearing right now isn’t moving me in the least.  Besides, I really wanted to make something fun, funky, and uplifting and I do believe I have achieved that.  Frankly, these two mixes hit the spot; however, be warned of possible hallucinogenic-induced fantasies featuring hard bikini-clad bodies lying on the beach while sipping a margarita.

I know, I know it’s still cold in many parts of the world (including here), but every day keeps getting closer to Spring.  In fact, mother nature has been kind enough to slip in a few of those days this past week, and for that I’m grateful.  Nevertheless, it’s gonna be 25 degrees tonight, so back to reality.
