When you sign up for premium content, you must create a Podbean account to be able to stream and download.

You DO NOT have to use the Podbean website for Party Favorz nor their app if you do not want to. You can still use https://partyfavorz.com as usual.

Party Favorz NO LONGER works on Apple Podcasts but still works on iTunes for Windows PCs. After setting up your account (below), open iTunes in Windows and click on “file” then click on “subscribe to podcast.” In the empty field, paste https://partyfavorz.com/feed/podcast into the box and hit enter. It will populate the episodes and the first time you try to download or play an episode, a box will pop-up asking you for your username and password. Check the box to remember your password and you’re all set.

Otherwise, the Podbean app for your smartphone is excellent and carries all of your favorite podcasts that you can easily subscribe to. You can download the Podbean app for Android here or the Podbean app for iPhones here. Once installed, search for “Party Favorz” (without the quotes) and then subscribe. You can stream or download episodes for playback later and receive notifications on your phone when new episodes are available. All 800+ episodes are available in the Podbean app but easier to navigate and find what you’re looking on the Party Favorz website for PC or smartphones.

Steps to setting up your account:

Sign up for a premium content account. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be redirected to a confirmation page:

 

You will also receive 2 email confirmations. You can click on the “Click here to login” link on the confirmation page or click on “You can access your premium content at https://partyfavorz.podbean.com/premium” from the email confirmation.

If you do not already have a Podbean account click on “Need an account? Sign up” towards the bottom.

 

 

 

Use the email you used to sign up with as your username and create your own password. You do not need to fill in “yoursitename.podbean.com”

 

 

 

 

Once you have created your username and password for Podbean, it will take you to this page:

 

 

 

 

Now that you have set up your Podbean account, you can go to https://partyfavorz.com and stream and download using the username and password you just set up. 

If you have AdBlock or a pop-up blocker in your browser, you will need to give partyfavorz.com permission to allow pop-ups – otherwise, you will not see the login information.

 

 

If you forget your password or have additional support questions, go to https://podbean.freshdesk.com/support/home to create a support ticket with Podbean.  Additionally, information about updating passwords, emails, or your payment method can now be found in the support section of Party Favorz.

Podbean recently revamped their app so we created a little step by step tutorial for users to get up to speed on how to use it.


Step 1:
On mobile or tablet — open the Podbean app and go to the Party Favorz page here and click on the 3-line vertical accordion on the mid right-hand side  shown here.

 

 

 

 

 


Step 2:
Make sure “All Episodes” is checked to view  and scroll through every available episode. If you select “Downloads” that will only display the episodes you’ve already downloaded to your device and nothing else. Likewise, “New Episodes” will only show you the latest nine.

Of course, you can sort the episodes in any view from newest to oldest or vice versa.

 

 

 

 


Step 3:
At the bottom of the Podbean home screen you’ll see three widgets. The first “Discover” will display podcasts Podbean is either promoting or thinks may interest you based on your listening habits. The recommendation improve the longer you use their app.

The second widget is “Following.” This will display all the podcasts you follow for easy access.

The third widget is “Search” which allows you to search for your favorite podcasts to follow.

The fourth widget is “Profile.” Click on that one because there are some important settings in their you should be aware of.

 

 


Step 4: Once you’ve clicked on “Profile” their will be multiple options you can set.

The first is “Seek by” which allows your to fast forward and backward through various intervals. By default it’s set to 30 seconds but you can change that.

I’ll cover “Storage” last.

Auto Download New Episodes” allows Podbean to automatically download the newest episode to your device so that it’s already waiting for you the next time you open the app. I prefer to leave it opp but that depends on your preferences.

Delete Played Episodes” is exactly that. After you’ve listened to the episode Podbean will automatically delete it from your device. Once again, I recommend leaving this option off. It’s something iTunes had turned on by default and people would be upset that their favorite episodes would no longer be available to them. The object is to free up space on your device but I’m a control freak so I prefer to do the cleaning myself.

Cellular Controls” allows you to decide whether you want to stream or download only over wi-fi or use your mobile data. I have an unlimited plan and wi-fi isn’t always available so I leave both options on.

Notification Settings” allows you to control whether a new episode from a podcast you follow is available on your phone. This option is entirely up to you. Though, I’d leave the “Recommended” and “New Comments” turned off.

The “Region” and “Language” options are pretty obvious.

Night Mode” is dependent in whether you prefer a dark background or bright white.


Step 5: Storage” is an important option because it allows you to set what folder the episodes are downloaded to. I have it set to the music folder, which creates a Podbean folder where all downloaded episodes are held for easy review and clean-up. You may have a SIM card you prefer to download to so it’s basically your choice.

 

 

 

 

Step 6: Finally – Downloading. When you click the download button sometimes it appears nothing is happening when in fact it is. It can take a few seconds but eventually you will see a downloading dialogue at the bottom of the episode. Sometimes, it stops at 99% but you can be assured that it’s actually 100% as I’ve tested this out myself.

Some users have reported that downloading can be excessively long. I’ve tested it myself and a 3-hour episode can take 5 minutes or longer to download. There are many factors involved like whether you’re using wi-fi and whether it’s the latest version or if you’re using 3G, 4G or 5G for your mobile service.

I currently use 4G but even so – 5 minutes is excessively long. If you download the same episode from partyfavorz.com — it will swallow it down in a minute an a half. I have reported the issue to Podbean but I think the issue is with the app itself, not their servers. The best way around this is to allow the app to download the episodes automatically so they’re already there when you want them.

Party Favorz has a blazing fast mobile website, which is much easier to navigate to find older episodes and categories with faster download speeds. Nevertheless, Podbean has one of the better apps we’ve used and it’s a good source for all your favorite podcasts in one spot. Whether you use it depends on your needs.

If you find yourself unable to log in to your account, follow these steps:

1. Go to https://www.podbean.com/login

2. Click on “Forgot Password.”

3. Enter your email address and click “Retrieve Email.”

4. Go to your email inbox and find an email from Podbean with the subject “Reset your password.”

5. Click the Reset password link in the email to reset your password.

6. Go back to your app or the website and log in with your new password. 

If you don’t see the email, check your junk/spam folders or any other filtered folders (e.g. If you use Gmail, it might be in the Social or Promotions tabs)

When you signed up for Premium Content — you also signed up for a Podbean account. You will need to login to your Podbean account to complete these steps:

It is easy to update your credit card and the payment email*.

Log into your account, go to “My Account” page at the top-right corner. Click on “Update card” link. There will be a Stripe pop-up window for you to enter your email and credit card info.

* The payment notification emails will be sent to your payment email address.

When you signed up for Premium Content — you also signed up for a Podbean account. You will need to login to your Podbean account here to complete these steps:

1. Log into your Podbean account, go to the “Profile” page.

2. Click “Premium Content” on the left sidebar. You can listen/view the premium podcasts you’re subscribed to here. Click on “Info” to see the detailed information about a subscription. There you can click the “Cancel Subscription” link.

If you have any questions or are unable to cancel the subscription, you may click the “Contact Publisher” button to email Party Favorz support for help. We can manually cancel your account via Stripe for you.

Canceling the subscription cancels the auto-renewal so you will not be billed again. You will still be able to access the podcast until your next billing date.

There are only a handful of episodes that are no longer available on this site, which they are clearly marked.

Any post that has an audio player and download link and does not work as expected is likely corrupt.

I get asked this question a lot and here’s the definitive answer:

Party Favorz DOES NOT provide links to individual songs.  While some things I receive are strictly promotional, most songs are readily available on legal sites like Beatport, Traxsource, Juno Download, Apple Music and Amazon MP3.

I receive a large number of promotional materials each month.  While I can’t guarantee placement on Party Favorz, I DO review everything forwarded to me and give it equal consideration. You can forward your tracks to Party Favorz through the contact section of this site.

If you wish to have your songs removed from an episode and/or Party Favorz, please submit your request through the contact section of this site and we will honor your request.

Please don’t be a dick and file a take down request with Google. Party Favorz honors any and all take down requests through our contact section. 

In the 13 years that Party Favorz has been in operation, we’ve only had one take down request for a song that wasn’t even on the site. We will vigorously defend false claims through the proper channels.

Party Favorz offers as much support as possible to subscribers to resolve issues. We usually respond within 24 hours — often less.

If the above instructions to resolve the problem aren’t working — we’ll be happy to help. The contact section of the website is the fastest way to resolve your issue. 

I am also testing out remote access support for North America only. If you request it, I will send the instructions and a number you can call or I will call you — whichever you prefer. Only English is supported.
