For 15 years, Party Favorz has been the go-to source for unforgettable gay anthems and pride classics. As we celebrate this milestone year, we’re going big with expansive compilations designed to capture the essence of LGBTQ+ musical culture.
Our kickoff release, ‘The Ultimate Gay Anthems & Pride Classics,’ will soon be followed by ‘The Ultimate Gay Anthems For A New Generation.’ These collections are our way of ensuring that every facet of our community is musically represented.
Though Party Favorz started mixing tracks back in 1999, our official podcast journey began in 2007. The impact of these songs and artists on the LGBTQ+ community remains undiminished, regardless of when we started.
Our episode artwork has often had a political edge, particularly around 2008, when the fight for gay rights gained new momentum. These visuals cover milestones from ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell‘ to ‘Marriage Equality,’ encapsulating the rapid advancements made during our time online.
However, it’s crucial not to rest on our laurels. Hate groups and certain political forces aim to erode the progress made in LGBTQ+ rights. Starting with women’s reproductive rights and now encroaching on transgender healthcare, these groups have larger aims that could include marriage equality. The 2022 midterms and the 2024 general elections are pivotal moments to uphold these hard-won rights. The importance of maintaining a progressive majority in the House and Senate cannot be overstated.
As for our new compilations, we are aiming to release them in May, ahead of most Gay Pride celebrations. This timing will pave the way for additional releases in June, including an up-to-date 2022 Pride set featuring the latest circuit anthems.
