As you can see by the email alert I received, the hosting renewal is yet again upon us. In years past, you folks have been very generous in helping meet our goals for renewals. While I’ve researched other host providers that offer introductory deals, ultimately — no one can match Siteground‘s outstanding customer service and cutting edge technology that stays relevant and up to date. Downtime for the site is virtually nonexistent and I’ve never found another host that can match their services for a shared hosting plan.
Granted, there are a plethora of managed hosting plans that can meet their standards but that takes away full control and frankly — I’ve tweaked the living crap out of the website and when coupled with my Cloudfare DNS hosting and security that’s paid for every month — the speed is unmatched. So much so that even an overpriced managed hosting plan couldn’t keep up. Not to mention, switching is a pain in the ass. So, why fix something if it isn’t broken?
I usually pick up about a 1/3 of the costs but we just dropped $1,500 on fixing our car and I’ve got to take it back in on Monday for a set of new tires. I’m tapped for the month and really need your help.
While the website for Party Favorz is my pride and joy — it isn’t fully necessary to continue operations. I have a separate website provided by Podbean that runs on a theme that’s about 20 years old and there’s only so much coding I can do to make it usable. It’s clunky, slow, and not even remotely navigable as this site is. I have a lot of sweat equity in building this website and it accounts for about 1/2 of my traffic so there’s a bottom line interest in maintaining it.
However, if most of you are just using the Podbean app and are happy with it that’s a choice you’ll have to make as to whether you support our efforts here. I’m fine either way because it won’t interfere with operations but it will change the way most of you get access (which includes the new Party Favorz app, which I know a lot of you have taken advantage of).
The goal is $480, which could easily be reached with $10 donations. Just keep in mind that PayPal takes a HUGE chunk of that out. You can track the progress of donations with the goal widget I’ve embedded in the sidebar.
Because of the volume of material for the two Legacy entries I’m putting together — they’ve been delayed until next week though I may have the first one out tomorrow. From what I’ve heard so far — this is gonna blow you away and is well worth the wait.
Thanks for your continued support! XO
