The 2018 Atlanta Pride festival concluded with a vibrant parade at Piedmont Park, a familiar place for those of us who have lived and celebrated Pride here over the years. The event, one of the largest in the southeast, attracted over 300,000 participants.

This year’s festival was marked by the appearance of Stacey Abrams, a gubernatorial candidate who could make history as the first black female governor in the U.S. Her campaign, advocating for inclusivity and reforms across various sectors, resonated with the spirit of Pride.

The urgency to participate in the electoral process has never been more critical. Early voting in Fulton County begins October 15th, with details available on the Elections Division of Georgia’s website. Your vote has the power to shape the future.
