Party Favorz is back with Volume II of The Ultimate Kylie Minogue 2024, and this one packs a massive punch.
Classic Kylie Meets Today’s Dance Floor
At first, I wasn’t sure how Kylie’s newer releases would sit beside hits from 10 or 15 years ago. Several updated bootlegs helped bridge that gap. They stay true to the originals while giving those songs a sound that fits today’s dance floors.
I also kept some of the original remixes. They worked when they first came out, and they still work now. Instead of replacing a great mix simply because it’s older, I wanted to give it room to shine alongside the newer material.
Giving the Older Remixes a Fresh Sound
This time, I spent more hours remastering the older tracks. I softened the sharp “sss” sounds in a few songs, brought more life to mixes that felt flat, and gave the bass a fuller sound. The goal was to keep their character while making the entire set feel cohesive.
That work takes time. However, with some help from ChatGPT, I was able to fine-tune the settings more efficiently. I’m happy with the result and plan to use what I learned on future Party Favorz releases. Circuit & Anthems, in particular, has older mixes that could benefit from the same attention.
The Hits, New Releases, and Rare Gems
Volume II brings in the remaining Kylie Minogue favorites, including “On a Night Like This,” “Spinning Around,” “Slow,” “Love at First Sight,” “Into the Blue,” “The One,” and “Breathe.” You’ll also hear newer releases from the Tension era and a few gems that never charted in the U.S.
Together, these tracks make the Kylie Minogue dance music tribute I’ve wanted to hear for years. Frankly, it’s the Kylie wet dream all the gay boys have been waiting for. I only hope I did the Queen justice.
