We’re especially loving LF System’s uplifting “Lift You Up,” a positive anthem that reminds us to focus on the good, even amidst challenges. Of course, Funky House Heat wouldn’t be complete without some seductive vibes. The Shapeshifters deliver with “Body Music,” featuring a familiar sample from the timeless House classic “Body To Body (Keep In Touch)” by Shades of Love. It’s a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
Peak Hour Dance Floor Sweat
Ready to lose yourself in the heat? This episode features several peak-hour heavy-hitters. DJ Minx’s “Don’t Do It To Me,” Earth n Days’ and “The Kinda Love” (CASSIMM remix) are floor-scorchers. “NRG” by Many Few, which holds true to its namesake featuring what sounds like a sample of Loleatta Holloway but don’t hold us to that — is pure FIRE!

Throwbacks with a Message
We love a good throwback, and this episode features two gems. Kyle Watson’s modern take on the Funk classic “Low Rider” by War is a surprising hit, paying homage to Chicano culture while keeping dance floors moving. Brothas & Sistas’ “Without Love” is a Funky House reimagining of the Doobie Brothers’ “Long Train Running,” transformed into a powerful call for unity in these divided times.
